Apex Vibrancy Center is owned and operated by acupuncturist and herbal medicine doctor of Chinese Medicine, Dina Denise Rodriguez Bello. Dina is a Chicana who was born and raised in Southern California in a small city named Oxnard.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies with an emphasis on Social Justice from Humboldt State University, a small campus in the California State University system in Northern California. After learning about acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2009 she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to study at Southwest Acupuncture College (SWAC), where she earned her Masters of Science degree in Chinese Medicine and Herbology in 2013.

She learned many approaches to treatment at SWAC and she credits many of her teachers and mentors for sharing modalities like Master Tung Style, Dr. Tan’s Balancing Methods, Japanese & Korean Style Acupuncture, Scalp acupuncture, and others.

Dina Bello has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine for almost ten years now. She has a huge family with many siblings, nephews and nieces, cousins, and another large community in her chosen family with her friends, many of whom live all over the country.

She came to find this medicine while caring for her grandmother over twelve years ago. After seeing her succumb to her many health issues, Dina was left with the feeling that there had to have been other ways to help her.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine helped her get through a difficult period in her life shortly after her grandmother passed and after having gone through a relationship breakup.

This is largely what led to her journey to New Mexico to study acupuncture. She’s lived in Albuquerque and considered New Mexico her second home for many years now. She lives here with her husband Cristobal and their three dogs Chaco, Emiliano and Pancha.

She loves treating patients and prescribing herbal formulas while giving simple and affordable nutritional recommendations. Dina is passionate about treating mental health disorders and psycho-emotional well-being issues. She believes in an approach that uses compassion, active listening, herbs and body work, and one that emphasizes stress management and empowerment for patients.

She also encourages other treatments and therapies such as counseling, meditation, tapping, breathing, diet & exercise. In addition, she has extensive knowledge and experience with fire cupping, herbology, pharmacology, Guasha, Tuina, Moxibustion and Electrical Stimulation. She knows that many conditions can be helped with acupuncture & Chinese medicine.

PHILOSOPHY
ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture consists of applying thin needles into established points on known channels and meridians. These acupoints then stimulate, move and otherwise help to unblock different areas of the body. The underlying goal is to spark the body to ignite its natural ability to heal itself.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Chinese herbal medicine treats the underlying causes of illness rather than individual symptoms. Using a holistic approach, herbs can help address physical, emotional and spiritual issues. Once a patient’s specific needs have been assessed, a practitioner can tailor a specific formula to them to stimulate the body’s natural healing powers.

CUPPING

Cupping or Cupping Therapy (CT) is an ancient therapy that uses different materials (nowadays usually glass) in the form of cups, bowls, jars or any other closed, cylindrical objects. These objects are placed on various areas of the body with a suction action of differing levels, dependent on the condition and issue/s being treated.
